iPad pre-order stocks exhaust 2 days after announcement

The third generation iPad tablets were recently announced and it will be a while before these actually hit stores, globally. However, like all iOS devices, the response that the new tablet has been receiving seems no different. A report by CNET has revealed that the initial batch of iPad tablets meant for preorders have exhausted already, just two days after its announcement.

As per the statement by Apple to CNET, the Cupertino brand states, “Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased. Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date. Beginning Friday, March 16, the new iPad will be available for purchase at Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers on a first come, first-served basis.”
The official launch date for the tablet is scheduled to be on the 16th of March, 2012 and those looking to pre-order the tablet are now facing delays in receiving the product on the launch date, itself. The delivery date, as per the report states that in some countries has been pushed back to around two or three weeks after the product becomes available in stores. The report goes on to say, “Despite the appearance of any supply constraints, Apple is set to launch the device in an additional 26 countries by March 23, which the company says will be its fastest product rollout ever.

Apple seems to be keeping up with the pace set by the iPad 2 and more recently the iPhone 4S, in respect to the number of sales generated in the opening few days.
