Lumia 610 users in India to get Nokia Music and Mix Radio

Nokia has launched its Windows Phone enabled Lumia 610 in the Indian market. The handset will be made available with the Nokia Music and Mix Radio. Moreover, it isn’t just the Lumia 610 but the Lunia 800 and Lumia 710 that will also get these music attributes once the updates begin to roll out. Nokia Music brings to users more than 40 lakh music tracks to download, without any charges. However, the Nokia Music subscription for Lumia users is expected to be for just 4 months. After this subscription period, users will require recharge vouchers to extend the subscription.
Nokia Lumia 610 now official!

More music for Nokia...

This new Nokia Music feature allows downloading DRM free tracks. This will enable users to transfer the downloaded songs to other devices too. As the subscription expires, users can keep the tracks that they’ve downloaded. On the other hand, Nokia Mix Radio is a streaming music service for Lumia phones that allows listening to music tracks across multiple genres, streamed directly to your phone. Users can also save these tracks for offline listening, in case of no Wi-Fi coverage. It allows discovering new music as well. In Nokia Music service, you can transfer tracks from the device, but Nokia Mix Radio doesn’t allow doing so.

Nokia had made the Lumia 610 official at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February and ever since, it’s been on and off the news radar with details about its impending release, its pricing and the fragmentation that it brings to the table, with Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh. The 610 is fuelled by an 800 Mhz single core and 256 MB RAM. It is backed by a 1300 mAh Li-ion/Li-polymer battery and features a USB 2.0 high-speed through micro USB connector. The device is quite portable at 131.5 g.

As of now, the Lumia 610 is the cheapest WP7 handset available in India. The Nokia Lumia 610 allows users to keep in touch with friends with ease, while providing instant access to social networks and by bringing all mobile, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn contacts to one place. It also makes it easier to browse the Web with Internet Explorer and to access games through Xbox Live. The Lumia 610 comes with Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Nokia Transport and Nokia Music. With this handset, Nokia aims to target a market that is budget conscious and has priced the handset competitively in India at Rs. 12,999.
