BenQ launches GH600, GH700 digital cameras in India

BenQ recently launched its first high zoom bridge type digital cameras – the GH600 and the GH700 – in India.  These point-and-shoot compact digital cameras feature 21x optical zoom with 16-megapixel sensors and 25 mm wide-angle view. They also have O.I.S. support, 1cm Super Macro Mode and a three-inch 460k LCD screen.

The GH600 can shoot HD 720p videos at 30 frames per second. We also have an interdependent button for quickly recording videos. Its aspherical lens, which is adopted to enhance the lens’ focus, is made of high-transmission, low-dispersion material and a nano-scale, anti-reflection coating.

The slightly costlier GH700 features a high-performance optical zoom lens, a BSI CMOS sensor and a high-speed digital signal processor (DSP). Its back-illuminated BSI CMOS sensor is designed to increase sensitivity and minimise noise levels by up to 50 percent. Moreover, it can shoot 1080p Full HD videos at 60 frames per second. An interesting feature of this camera is the HDR III technology, which uses an exposure bracketing technique to take three photos with different exposures and combine them to create an image that's more balanced in contrast and brightness. The GH700 features a high-speed, high-efficiency digital signal processor (DSP) that enhances the processing speed by up to 30 percent. The G700 also lets you shoot pictures simultaneously while recording a video.

The GH700 also lets you edit your videos on the three-inch preview screen. The movie edit mode can be accessed by pressing the function button; it lets you edit your videos on-screen using the time bar displayed at the bottom of the screen.

“With the launch of our GH series digital cameras, we bring an extensive range of high zoom cameras that boast of all powerful features that matter to a photography enthusiast. These cameras combine the advantages of point-and-shoot cameras with DSLR-like imaging effects,”said Rajeev Singh, Country Head, BenQ India

The GH series digital cameras let you select from various shooting modes. Color Filter includes LOMO Mode for adding artistic effects to photographs, while Color Accent converts all the colours in a photograph into black and white except for a selected colour. The 1cm Super Macro Mode lets you capture close-up shots from as close as 1 cm and Panorama mode helps you capture landscapes or large group shots. You also get some other shooting modes like P/Av/Tv/M Mode, Speedy Burst, Beauty Enhancer and Advanced Smart Scene Mode.

The BenQ GH600 is available in black and white in 10,990 and 15,990.
