Micromax launches A110 Superfone Canvas 2, A90S Superfone Pixel

Capitalising on the festive season, Micromax has launched two new Android smartphones, the A110 Superfone Canvas 2 and A90S Superfone Pixel. The two devices are powered by Ice Cream Sandwich and boast of screens larger than 4-inches as Micromax looks to increase its share of budget smartphones with large screens. The A110 is a successor to the company's Canvas A100, which was launched in August, and the A90S follows the A90, which was launched in August too.

The Micromax A110 Canvas 2 sports a 5-inch FWVGA capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. It is powered by a 2,000mAh Li-ion battery and the company claims it provides a talk time up to five hours and up to 180 hours of standby time. It runs on Android 4.0.3, Ice Cream Sandwich, and is powered by an unnamed 1GHz dual-core processor, which means it can run most of the latest apps available on Google Play.
